It’s official, I have no will power when it comes to eyeshadow palettes, I NEED all of them.
I’m still loving the Urban Decay Naked Heat but last week it was my birthday and I’d strongly hinted I’d like the Violet Voss Holy Grail Palette, and I was so happy when I got it!
I was right to be happy too, it is beautiful! I’d never had anything from Violet Voss but I’d heard so much about this palette, and I was so excited to try it!
I love the colour selection, it’s mainly a neutrals palette, but it’s got something to suit everyone, including browns, bronzes, pinks, even some burgundy/plum shades, so not only will it suit everyone, but you can create so many looks with it!
It’s one of my bigger palettes, having 20 shades and the mirror is also the best I’ve ever seen in an eyeshadow palette, it’s massive!
I also love how the shades have names so it’s really easy to remember your favourites but to also talk about the palette with people!
I used this palette to create a smokey eye on Saturday night and I was so impressed! The pigmentation is amazing, and the shades are so easy to blend.
They stayed in place all night and blended really smoothly over the UD Primer potion and MAC painterly paint pot!
I used a few shades –
Crystal – highlight
Bestie – base colour
Brownie Points – crease
Teddy Bear – outer corner
Toffee – across the lid
I loved this finished look, I added a smokey liner and some big lashes and I was so happy!
All though this palette is around the £40 mark, I’d say if you’re into eyeshadow, this palette is definitely worth it, and I’m sure everyone who buys this will get plenty of use!
I got mine from Beauty Bay, so if you want it, you can pick it up here!
If you’ve tried this palette, let me know what you thought, and which shades you love!
If you’d like to see some more looks from this palette, let me know and I’ll share that with you!
I have been wanting this palette for soooooo long that I think I might need to buy it this weekend!! 😍 you’re look turned out lovely xx
