Doing your makeup when you struggle with acne can feel like a real struggle but throughout the years I’ve found some makeup products that for me have been absolute essentials on the days where I’m really struggling to cover my spots!
MAC Studio Fix Fluid
I’ve tried so many full coverage foundations in an attempt to try and get smoother, more even skin while struggling with acne and the one I have gone back too time and time again is the MAC Studio Fix Fluid.
This foundation may not be the cheapest but the quality has always been amazing for my skin type.
Unbeatably high coverage, a semi-matte finish that is really complimentary when you have greasy skin and the colour range is so extensive that it is likely to work for everyone.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Finding a concealer that is right for your skin type when you struggle with blemishes is essential and the best one I’ve used for covering redness and blemishes in the Collection Lasting Perfection.
Although I prefer other concealers for covering under eye circles, the Collection concealer is by far the best for blemishes and redness.
For just over £4, this concealer is high coverage, blendable and lasts so well!
Rimmel Stay MattePowder
With acne prone skin comes an oily skin type which means you need a powder you can rely on.
I’ve tried lots of pressed and loose powders and although I really liked the MAC transparent pressed powder, when it comes to an affordable option for everyday use, the Rimmel Stay Matte is a go-to.
For under £4, the Rimmel Stay Matte is available in lots of shades to suit everyone and keeps shine and oil away for hours.
Although I do need to top up throughout the day, it does last really well and gives a nice light and natural coverage and feels really comfortable.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
Once you’ve got your skin perfectly covered, you want to set it all in place so it will stay like that all day.
Out of all the setting sprays that I’ve tried, the Urban Decay All Nighter is by far the best. The quality of this spray is unbeatable.
This spray is fine and comfortable to have on the skin, it doesn’t make your makeup cake or look heavy but just keeps it perfectly in place all day, no matter what.
I feel really confident when I’ve finished my makeup with this that all the other products will stay in place perfectly.
I hope you’ve this useful if you struggle with acne prone skin and are looking for reliable products that will help on the days where your skin isn’t looking it’s best.
