We all have career goals don’t we? Things that we want to achieve in our professional lives and for me, something I’ve wanted to do for myself since working in marketing was write an article to be published on Huffington Post.
I learn’t what Huffington Post was a couple of years ago when I started my apprenticeship in marketing and I knew from then that I wanted to write an article to be published on there and it’s been a goal ever since.
In my job, I write content for brands to post on their websites or on other websites or in printed publications but as part of that job, you’d never know it was me that wrote that work.
In general, it doesn’t bother me being a bit of a ghost writer, I’m just so used to it now that I never really think about it but there has been times where I’ve written for some great places and never been recognised, so I knew if I ever got to write something for myself and have it published, I wanted it to be Huffington Post.
After trying a couple of times and being knocked back, I recently wrote an article and just sent it in, not thinking much of it and that was the one that got accepted for publish and I can’t even tell you how excited I was!
I wrote about how Coeliac Disease is not a fad and I couldn’t be happier that my first article was about something I’m so passionate about and the response so far has just been incredible!
I have had so many lovely messages and comments about the article and that really means the world to me. I didn’t even consider the fact that people were actually going to read this when I wrote it, it was just a goal I’d set myself, so the fact that the response has been so amazing is just the cherry on the cake!
I don’t know if I’ll get the opportunity to write for Huffington Post again but I hope I will and if I do, I’ll be sure to let you know!
Thank you for the support as always!
