Key Pieces in My Wardrobe for SS18

We’ve just had a taste of a little heatwave here in the UK which has got us all crossing our fingers for more of that weather to come in the next few months.

It’s been so nice to break out some more summery pieces of the last few days and I decided to make the switch and pack my winter clothes away and fill my wardrobe and drawers with more spring/summer items.

I thought I’d share with your some key pieces that I think I’ll be getting plenty of wear out of if the weather is kind to us over the next few months.

Denim Mini Skirts – Topshop

Everyone went crazy for these little denim skirts from Topshop last year and I’ve seen a lot of people sporting them through the winter and again now the weather has warmed up a little and I know that I’ll be wearing mine throughout the summer.

I have the black and the blue and I find them really comfortable. The perfect for styling up or dressing down dependent on the occasion and they kind of work like a blank canvas for you to create whatever type of look you fancy.

Black Midi Dress – Primark

Primark is one of my favourite places to get summer dresses from as they’re so cheap and also perfectly on trend but one of my favourites is actually from last year.

Just a plain and simple black bodycon style midi dress, I wear this for work in the warmer weather as it is an appropriate length, super comfortable and easy to smarten up.

Another piece that can be warm smart or causal, for a few pounds, these dresses from Primark are an essential.

Floral Playsuit – Topshop

Another piece from last year that I intend to break our whenever I possibly can this year, this floral playsuit from Topshop was a favourite from my holiday wardrobe last year.

It’s one of those items that just fits perfectly in every area, making it such a comfortable and flattering piece to wear.

I normally wear this with sandals but you could pair it with Converse or heels and it would still look great but the nice thing about this is that the pattern does all the hard work for you, so you don’t need to worry about accessorising.

Monochrome Wrap Dress – Motel Rocks

I bought this little spotted wrap dress last year after seeing Amber Davis from Love Island wearing it and I just love it.

It’s a totally different fit and style to my usual dresses but it’s super comfortable and flattering and can be styled in so many different ways for different occasions.

The dress is a perfect item for me in Summer as it is still black and white but a more summery style which is exactly what I like in warmer weather opposed to lots of bright colour.

Wide Leg Floral Trousers – Miss Selfridge

I love patterned trousers in the summer and I’m hoping to get the chance to sport these floral wide legged trousers from Miss Selfridge again this year.

A perfect option for when the weather is bright and dry but not quite warm enough for bare legs, the floral pattern on these trousers make them perfect from spring onwards but the black backgrounds makes them super easy to style.

I pair with a plain black top and black shoes normally to let the pattern on the trousers do the talking.

I hope you’ve found this useful if you’re looking to update your wardrobe for the warmer weather or looking for inspiration as to pieces you can dig out and rewear without spending a penny.

All these items I purchased last year but I’ve linked to them where possible or linked to a super similar item if they’re not available!

What are your go-to spring/summer wardrobe items? Let me know in the comments!

Current Wardrobe Essentials

Although the weather is so strange at the moment, I’ve got some essentials in my wardrobe that I’m reaching for time after time.

I thought I’d share with you the items I’m loving the most at the moment, whatever the weather decides to do.

Blue Topshop Jamie Jeans

These are a relatively new piece to my collection but I’m already obsessed with them.

I’ve had these jeans before and they rips in the knees got too big, so I had to get rid of them and I missed having them in my wardrobe ever since, so I’m really happy to have them again.

I just find these jeans are my perfect blue jeans which are very difficult to find. They fit me perfectly on the waist and the leg, the colour of blue is perfect all year round and they’re just so comfortable and flattering.

Topshop – £42

Ripped Black Super Skinny Jeans from Next

As you’ve probably gathered from the above jeans, I struggle to find the perfect ones but when I do, I wear them all the time.

My all time favourite jeans are the super skinny ripped black jeans from Next. They were really affordable and they just fit me perfectly.

The length is perfect, they’re comfortable on the waist, the rips sit just right and they’re so stretchy!

Next – £28

Black Zara Puffer Coat

I buy myself a new black puffer coat every year and this year I found my dream coat in Zara.

I knew it was what I’d been looking for as soon as I saw it and I’ve probably worn it everyday since.

It wasn’t the cheapest or the most expensive coat but it fits me perfectly, it’s really flattering but also so warm and pretty much totally waterproof.

Zara – £79.99

Dorothy Perkins Grey and Yellow Check

Scarf

Living in England, it’s cold enough to warrant a scarf for a lot of the year and one of my favourites is the yellow and grey check one from Dorothy Perkins.

I bought this years ago so it’s unlikely you’ll be able to get the same one anymore but Joules sell a very similar one.

It’s such a big, chunky scarf that keeps me so warm but it’s also so versatile and goes with all my outfits as I tend to wear a lot of black and grey.

New Look High Neck Black Jumper

If I had to pick my ultimate favourite piece of clothing in my current wardrobe, it would probably be this high neck black jumper from New Look.

I bought it a couple of years ago in the sale but you can buy similar ones in most high street stores.

It’s the perfect tight fit and tucks into skirts really well so I wear it for a work a lot.

It’s so comfortable and versatile and I think it’s the definition of a wardrobe essential.

Zara Grey Suede Biker Jacket

Suede biker jackets have been so popular recently and I absolutely love my grey one from Zara.

I wear it for dressy and casual occasions because it is so versatile and it’s just such a good fit on me.

I find it the perfect fit in the body and arms and because of that, it looks good with lots of different outfits.

I don’t think you can get this exact one from Zara anymore but they do a lighter grey one for £25.99 which you can see here!

In terms of shoes, my most worn trainers of all time are my white converse but for slightly dressier occasions when I still want trainers, I love my shiny white Puma Basket trainers with the ribbon laces.

I hope you’ve found this useful if you’re looking for some new wardrobe essentials to add to your collection.

New In at Superdrug: Makeup

I was going to upload a post on my top tips for saving money but then I had a little spending accident on some new makeup products in Superdrug, so I thought I’d keep the saving post for another day and share my new purchases with you!

As a whole, I find buying makeup in Superdrug better than buying it at Boots, I think there’s a better range of brands and some more affordable ones, and I found so many products that were either new in or new to me at least so I had to give them a try!

B by Superdrug Brow Contour Kit

I’ve seen the B by Superdrug range before but never purchased anything but seeing as they’d had some new products in, I decided to try some!

The first thing I got was this brow contour kit as my current one is running a little low and this was on sale for £5.33, which I think is great value considering you get a wax, 2 brow powders and a cream highlight!

I’ve tried this once and it seems very pigmented and easy to blend but the colours are quite strong so I’d go in cautiously if you want a natural look!

B by Superdrug Eye Pigments (Carrie Lomas Collection)

I noticed they had a collaborative collection out with a makeup artist called Carrie Lomas and the products were all in really nice packaging and it looked like there was some really nice stuff!

I love loose eye pigments and I noticed there was 4 in this collection, so I picked up two shades at £3.33 each, I got ‘glamoflauge’ and ‘#itsthem’

I haven’t tried these yet but the colours look really nice!

Revolution Bake & Finish Loose Powder

I’ve tried Revolution products before and generally always been really impressed, I think their range is really modern and on-trend and they bring out some great products.

I’d been wanting a white/translucent baking powder for a while as I have the Ben Nye Banana Powder for baking but it’s too yellow for my skin tone, so I picked up this one for £5.

I haven’t tried this yet but I’ve heard some great reviews!

Revolution Liquid Highlighter Drops

Liquid highlighting drops are so popular at the moment and I didn’t have anything like this, so when I saw Revolution had a range of colours out for £6 each, I decided to pick one up.

I got the shade ‘rose gold’ and although I haven’t tried it yet, I’ve also heard these are great for both highlighting the face and mixing into foundation!

MUA Prism Strobe Cream

You may be starting to gather I went a little crazy on highlighting and illuminating products but I really don’t have any and wanted to try a few.

This strobe cream from MUA in the shade ‘sun beam’ was just £3, so I’ve decided to try it as a base for foundation and mixed into my foundation!

B by Superdrug Sheer Liquid Illuminator (Carrie Lomas Collection)

I believe this was about £6 and this one is designed as a base more than to be mixed with foundation and promises to add a natural glow to the skin.

I haven’t used a lot of the products yet but want to do a post on the best highlighting products soon, so hopefully some of these will be featured!

If you like the look of any of these, they’ll all be online at Superdrug!

Be sure to follow my Instagram (@lifewith_ellie) for reviews of the products as I use them!

Best Budget Beauty Buys

I think it’s fair to say that we’re all in the same position in January; trying to save for the upcoming year or maybe just still a little tight on money after Christmas, so it isn’t really the month to blow the budget on beauty bits.

I thought I’d share with you my top budget beauty buys that work as well as the premium versions but for a fraction of the cost, helping you maintain your usual beauty and makeup routines through January!

Your Good Skin Nourishing Hot Cloth Cleanser

Keeping up a good skincare routine is important all year round and many set themselves a New Year resolution to take better care of their skin, but skincare products can often be some of the most expensive items in our routines.

The Your Good Skin Nourishing Hot Cloth Cleanser is a classic yet luxurious feeling hot cloth cleanser, perfect for everyday showers or special pamper nights. This hot cloth cleanser has a similar feel to the highly popular Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser, however, this product is just £8.99 and comes with two muslin cloths, just like the Liz Earle product!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

I’ve mentioned this product a lot and it’s because it really is so good! For just £4.19 (available in Boots), this concealer has the coverage and consistency of some of the best-selling premium ones. Available in 4 shades, it may not work for every skin tone, but if one of the shades is a good match for you, then the coverage and blending power is amazing!

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Setting powder is an essential step in many peoples makeup routines but when you choose the premium offerings, they can be quite expensive but the Rimmel Stay Matte powder is a well-known alternative to some of the high-end powders!

Available in Boots, Superdrug and many supermarkets and pharmacies for around £3.99, the Rimmel Stay Matte powder is available in a range of shades and is a light and comfortable setting powder that lasts all day!

Tanya Burr Illuminating Powder

Many of us are guilty of spending a little too much on highlighters because they have ‘the wow factor’ but the Tanya Burr Illuminating Powders have the same shine and shimmer as some of the best-selling high-end highlighters but for a fraction of the price!

Available in 3 shades: a champagne, a bronzer and a pink, there’s a colour to suit every skin tone and makeup look.

You can see my full review on these powders here!

Kiko Smart Fusion Lip Pencils

I tend to go for budget lip pencils anyway as I feel there’s no real need to spend all my budget on these and my favourites are the Kiko Smart Fusion Lip Pencil.

These creamy lip pencils last really well and are available in a range of shades, perfect for matching with any lip colour.

They last on the lips really well and are easy to sharpen so you can get the most out of them, and they cost just £2.50!

Tinted Vaseline

Vaseline is one of my top beauty buys all year round, and something I reach for all the time in Winter to avoid sore lips, as I think its better than any premium lip balm but if you’re trying to cut back on buying pricey lipsticks, tinted Vaseline is a great option!

The new Lulu Guinness Vaselines are tinted in various shades and make for a lovely moisturising lip colour!

I hope you’ve found this useful if you’re looking to get some new beauty bits without breaking the budget!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette – First Impressions and Review

I’ve addressed my addiction to buying and collecting eyeshadow palettes before and I’m pleased to say there is now a new addition to my collection – the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette!

You may be thinking how late to the party I am with this one as this palette is old news to some now, but I wanted to let the hype die down before I made the purchase as I wanted to know if it was worth the money!

I was lucky enough to get this palette for Christmas and I was so excited to finally get my hands on it after dwelling on it for so long!

The packaging is stunning, the velvet/suede feel packaging isn’t something I’ve seen too many other brands do, so this palette looks really nice on display!

The Colours

The shade range was one of the reasons I held back buying this as I was unsure I would get any use out of some of the colours, such as the bold pinks, but the neutral and warm shades were enough to convince me I needed this!

I’ve fallen in love with the shade ‘Tempera’ for brow bone and inner corner highlighting but so far I’d say my hero shade of the palette is ‘Burnt Orange’; this is amazing as both a crease shade and blended all across the lid, depending on what look you want to create.

‘Raw Sienna’ is a great transition colour for the crease and base colour all across the lid.

The Quality

I have tried a lot of eyeshadows and thought I’d found some of the best quality there was to try, but it’s fair to say the pigmentation and quality of the shadows from Anastasia top them all.

The colour pay off on these shades is amazing, the colours come out on the lid so intensely yet thanks to the softness of the quality, they’re so blendable, making them easy to work with and wear.

I’d say I prefer the matte shades slightly more than the shimmers as I think the pigmentation and intensity of colour in the mattes is slightly better and I find those colours easier to work with.

I know you probably don’t need any more encouragement to purchase another eyeshadow palette, but I truly think every makeup lover, both amateur and professional need to purchase this palette!

You can purchase the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette from Beauty Bay for £43.00!

Your Good Skin 28 Day Challenge – My Experience

I partnered up with Your Good Skin over on Instagram to take part in their 28 Day Challenge! I’ve now completed my skincare challenge and decided it was time to share with you my thoughts and results!

I shared with you guys that I was doing the 28 day challenge with Your Good Skin a few weeks back and now I’ve completed it, so I thought I’d share with you my experience.

I joined up with Your Good Skin, a new skincare range available at Boots, made for women, by women; if you want to hear more about what the challenge and brand are about, check out my initial blog post here!

I created a full routine using just Your Good Skin products and the items I used were:

Nourishing Hot Cloth Cleanser

Instant Hydration Rescue

Pore Minimising Tonic

Balancing Skin Concentrate

Blemish Clearing Calming Cream Cleanser

Oil Lifting Makeup Remover Wipes

Oil Lifting Makeup Remover Wipes

I used to be anti-makeup wipes, I never used them and never really liked them but I’ve finished this whole pack of 40 over the whole challenge because I actually liked these ones!

They work really well which is more than I can say for most makeup wipes I’ve tried!

These leave my face totally clean and clear of makeup which is all I really wanted them to do!

Pore Minimising Tonic

I never really used toners but this one is really nice. It aims to balance skin pH and minimise the appearance of pores; I used this morning and night and it just made my skin feel smoother and more refined.

Balancing Skin Concentrate

The Balancing Skin Concentrate is the hero product of the range and the one that has the potential to really make a difference to your skin.

I never usually use skin concentrates as I keep my skincare routine really basic but I’ve really enjoyed using this product since I received it.

This product feels so luxurious but really gentle and light on the skin and generally gives you a more balanced and refined skin tone and texture, I think this product has a lot to do with reducing the pain in my skin.

Instant Hydration Rescue

I’ve messed around with moisturisers for years and never really settled with one but the Instant Hydration Rescue is really nice.

You don’t need a lot of this product, hence it is quite small as a little goes a long way as it is quite intense.

The hydration of this product lasts around 12-hours and I can confirm I think that is accurate as I haven’t suffered with any of my usual dry patches.

Blemish Clearing Calming Cream Cleanser

I bought this product for myself after trying some of the items that I was sent as I wanted a cleanser for in the shower and decided this one would suit my skin best.

I think this product has a lot to do with reducing the redness and pain in my skin as it is a calming cleanser and the cream texture of the product is so gentle and soothing.

Nourishing Hot Cloth Cleanser

I got sent this product as a Christmas present from the brand and I was so excited as I really wanted to try this after using some of the other products.

I love Hot Cloth cleansers and would go as far as to say this is a dupe for the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser that everyone loves, including myself.

This product is great for removing makeup and cleaning your skin and feels really luxurious when you use it.

I tried to just use the Your Good Skin products to get the full results and considering how extensive the range is, it was easy to find the right product for every occasion.

I have quite bad acne and I also take a hormone pill which causes acne so it was fair to say that these products had their work cut out with my skin!

My skin was never going to be perfect but since using these products I have seen a decrease in how many spots I’m getting and my skin is nowhere near as painful as it used to be.

I used to get very red, inflamed blemishes that were painful and since using the Your Good Skin products, although I still get some blemishes, they’re a lot smaller and less dramatic and not painful at all.

I was never expecting fully clear skin so I’m actually really impressed with how much clearer it is and I imagine when I continue to use these products, my skin will continue to get better.

Overall, I am so happy I decided to work with Your Good Skin and take part in the 28 Day Challenge because I have been introduced to a great range of skincare products that I may not have otherwise tried and my skin has definitely benefited from using the products.

I am going to continue to use these products even though I have now finished the challenge and plan to pick up more products from the range!

If you want to check out my journey on the challenge, check out my instagram @elliepoolx or if you want to follow other people’s journeys, check out the hashtags #yourgoodskin and #28daychallenge.

If you’re ready to try some of the products, head in store or online to Boots to check out the range!

If you have any questions about the brand or the products, feel free to leave them in the comments or drop me a message!

* I partnered with Your Good Skin for an Instagram collaboration and was sent four products in return for Instagram coverage. This blog post is not sponsored and all opinion on both here and Instagram are my own.

Top 5 Sites for Christmas Shopping

Christmas is getting really close now and in my experience, December always flys by and before you know it, time for Christmas Shopping has been and gone.

Online shopping is one of my favourite ways to get my Christmas shopping done and I’ve gone back to the same sites time and time again this year so I thought I’d share with you my top 5 online shops for this time of year!

ASOS

I’ve mentioned my love for ASOS before and that hasn’t changed! I always rely on ASOS for a lot of Christmas presents and invest the £9.99 for their premier delivery as it saves so much money on delivery and everything always arrives next day, without fault!

I love how you can shop so many brands and find something for everyone on one site! If you want some top tips on how to find the best bits on ASOS then check out my post on my top tips for shopping ASOS!

Not On The High Street

Not On The High Street is a great site for gifts all year round but they must get crazy busy at Christmas because so much of the stuff on their is amazing as presents!

It’s another site where you can shop so many different sellers in one place, meaning you can sort so many different people’s gifts all at once!

The main thing I love about Not On The High Street though is the ability to get personalised gifts because I love getting people custom made items as presents so I love so much of their stuff!

I’ve bought items from Bloom Boutique and Wooden Toy Gallery this year so I’ll be sure to share those with you when they arrive!

My 1st Years

This one is a bit more specific but if you’ve got babies or young children to buy for then My 1st Years is a great place to shop!

There’s nothing more thoughtful for first Christmas presents or gifts for small children than personalised clothes and toys and that’s what My 1st Years is perfect for!

Their items all turn up beautifully boxed too when you buy direct from them which means you even save time when it comes to wrapping!

John Lewis

You can’t beat a department store at Christmas and John Lewis is one of my favourites but it’s also so easy to shop all their items online!

John Lewis is great for shopping all kinds of brands of different price points and they always price match their items which means you know you’re getting a good price!

I tend to opt to use John Lewis if I already know what I want to buy and want to get it from a reliable seller!

Paperchase

Paperchase is not just great for ordering all your gift wrapping things but they also do some great gifts!

I always place a big Paperchase order of gift wrap, boxes and decorations etc and get them ordered to my house as it’s easier than trying to carry it all back from the shop but I also love some of their gifting items for stationary or trinket lovers!

So, they’re my top 5 online shops for doing your Christmas shopping and I’d recommend you check out all of them if you’re still on the look out for gifts!

What are your favourite sites for Christmas shopping? Share in the comments to help everyone get their shopping sorted!

5 Date Night Ideas

Putting aside time for a date night with your other half can be easier said than done but recently me and James have realised just how important that time is so we’re making more of an effort to organise regular date nights/days.

This got me thinking about different date ideas, some more extravagant than others but all just as good at creating quality time together.

Here are my top 5 date night ideas:

1. Dinner for Two

A classic choice but always a good one is a simple dinner for two. There’s nothing better than sitting down together over a nice meal and chatting about your day. Whether you choose your favourite restaurant or cook your favourite meal at home, a dinner for two is always a great date night idea.

2. Cinema

If me and James want a slightly more extravagant date night, we’ll head to the cinema. Neither of us are big drinkers or socialisers so a trip to the cinema is probably as adventurous as our date nights get. I wouldn’t recommend the cinema for a first date but it’s a great way to get out of the house together when you’ve been together a bit longer.

3. Movie Night

Similar to the cinema idea but better if you’re on a budget, a movie night at home is one of our go-to ways of getting some quality down time together. Get some snacks, pick a film you both like and get comfy and you’re in for a cheap and relaxed night together.

4. Get Outside

This one is another affordable one but heading out on a walk or just generally heading outside together can make a great date. This is perfect on summer evenings or if you’ve got a day to spend together, heading out on a long, leisurely walk together is not only free and good exercise but gives you plenty of time to just chat.

5. Hit the Shops

Not necessarily James’ first choice but if we want to do something a bit more special on a date day/night then hitting the shops is great. We tend to head to a bigger shopping centre we don’t go to often to make it more of an event but it’s still great time to talk while you’re wandering around and can even help you learn more about each other and what you like when you first get together.

These are some pretty basic ideas but I hope it’s inspired you to put some time aside to spend with your other half soon.

What’s your favourite kind of date night? Give me some new ideas!

A Festive Free From Collection by Tesco

I love find new free from products and recently Tesco has released a lot of new additions to their collection, which includes a whole range of festive products.

I’d seen a few of the products on Instagram, so head to my local Tesco to check it out.

You can find the range of new festive products in the Christmas aisle alongside the other festive foods, but in my local store, the section was signposted really clearly so you could find the products easily but that also made it easy to know which items were free from.

The products vary between being ‘gluten & wheat free’ and ‘gluten, wheat & dairy free’ so if you opt for free from products because you avoid dairy, your options in this new range may be limited as not all the products are dairy free.

Some of the items are in the usual green and purple free from packaging that Tesco usually use which suggests they may be staying in the range after Christmas, some are labelled in the same way as their standard free from range but in a festive purple box, showing their obviously limited edition and some are from their ‘Finest’ range, meaning they’re a more premium product.

The Products

My nearest ‘big Tesco’ isn’t the biggest, so this may not be all the products in the festive range, but these are all the ones I have seen.

Finest Gluten & Wheat Free Salted Caramel Pudding – £3

Free from Gluten, Wheat & Milk Chocolate Sponge Pudding – £2

Free From Gluten, Wheat, Milk & Nuts Christmas Pudding – £4

Finest Gluten & Wheat Free Cranberry & Orange Topped Christmas Pudding – £3

Free From Gluten & Wheat Cherry Sponge Pudding – £2

Free From Gluten, Wheat & Milk Spiced Pear Pies – £2

Free From Gluten, Wheat & Milk Deep Filled Mince Pies – £2

Free From Gluten & Wheat Iced Fruit Cake Slices – £2.50

Free From Gluten & Wheat Ginger Tiffin Bites – £2.50

Free from Gluten & Wheat Chocolate Orange Brownies – £2.50

Free From Gluten, Wheat & Milk Vanilla Christmas Jumper Cake Kit – £4.50

Free From Gluten, Wheat & Milk Chocolate Brownie Christmas Pudding Kit – £3.50

Free From Gluten, Wheat & Milk 3D Gingerbread Star Kit – £4

Free From Gluten, Wheat & Milk Choc Selection Box – £3.50

Finest Gluten & Wheat Free Triple Chocolate Cookies – £4

Free from Gluten & Wheat Gingerbread Stars – £1.99

Finest Gluten & Wheat Free All Butter Shortbread Selection – £4.50

There was a few blank spaces on the shelf, but if I see anymore products I’ll be sure to update this post.

Overall Thoughts

My first thought is that I think this range is a great idea as it offers so many options to people with dietary requirements, things that usually we would have to either miss out on, or find a way to make our own.

Some of the prices feel reasonable, however some are a little expensive, but that is the same with any free from products, limited edition or not.

I think they’ve chosen a great range of products and covered all the most wanted festive treats, as well as a few more unique ones.

I also love the mix of standard range products and finest products, so you have the option to treat yourself as you do when shopping the normal product ranges.

Overall, I am really impressed with this range and Tesco for designing it as I haven’t seen any other festive free from ranges like this.

If you’ve seen any other supermarkets launching their own festive ranges of free from products, let me know and I’ll check them out.

How to Achieve Shopping Success on ASOS

Online shopping is just part of modern day life and something most of us take part in daily, but sometimes it can be hard to find exactly what you’re looking for.

Some online sites are easier to navigate than others, so I thought I’d share my top tips for achieving shopping success on different popular sites, and I’m going to start today with ASOS.

Start with a Plan

ASOS is often a first stop when you want new clothes, and I often find myself wandering on to ASOS when I don’t really know what I want, which can often lead to finding nothing because I have no plan.

The best way to not get overwhelmed by the selection of clothes on ASOS is to go on with a plan.

Use social media like Instagram or Pinterest, or magazines to decide what look you want and what items you need so you know where to start on ASOS.

Filters

One of my favourite parts of shopping on ASOS is how specific you can filter your results.

If you have a clear idea of what you want, you can filter down so you only see results that match you size, Budget, brands you like and more.

Adding as many filters as you can will help you maximise your chances of finding your perfect item.

‘refine’ section on the ASOS app

Search by Brand

One of the selling points of ASOS is how many brands you can shop in one place, and I find one of the best ways to find some great pieces on ASOS is the shop by brand.

You can scroll through all the brands on both the app and the website, and then just browse the products from your chosen brand, meaning you’re not distracted by brands that don’t work for you.

You’re more likely to find some great buys that fit well and look good when they arrive if you can shop the brands you like the most.

Discounts

The best way to feel like you’ve had a successful shop is to save money, so bagging a discount online is a great way to do that!

ASOS offers so many different discounts, including a 10% student discount so you can pretty much always save money, even on big brands that you’d usually struggle to get a discount on!

Size Guides

There’s nothing more frustrating than spending money online, waiting for it to arrive and then trying it on and realising it isn’t a good fit.

We often just guess our size and hope for the best but size guides are the best way to ensure online shopping success because they can help you pick the perfect fit.

ASOS has a great selection of size guides, and a lot that are tailored for different brands so you can get the best possible fit in every item.

ASOS size guide for women’ t-shirts

ASOS is a great place for all your online fashion shopping and they also have a free returns policy which is great if you’re not quite sure what you’re looking for.

I hope these tips have helped you if you’re breaking into the world of shopping on ASOS or you want to have a little more success.

Let me know if you there’s any other online shops you want some shopping tips for!
