My Top Restaurants for Gluten Free

Eating out can be hard with Coeliac Disease or a food intolerance, so find the best restaurants for gluten free here!

There’s been a lot of talk on TV and in the media recently about restaurants and cafes not being up to scratch when it comes to catering for allergies, so I thought I’d share with you some restaurants I’ve actually had good gluten free meals at!

Pizza Express

Pizza Express came out as one of the more trustworthy restaurants in Watchdog’s recent investigation and I can back this up from personal experience because they’re so good every time!

There’s so many options for gluten free eaters at Pizza Express including starters, pizzas, pastas and puddings, so you really feel you’ve got the pick of the menu which isn’t something we get at a lot of restaurants!

My Favourite: Gluten Free Dough Balls, Gluten Free Pepperoni Pizza with Vegan Cheese and Gluten Free Chocolate Brownie

Miller & Carter

I love steak, so I was thrilled that Miller & Carter catered for gluten free diners so well!

They have a really extensive gluten free menu with lots of options for starters, mains and desserts and I’ve dined with them a few times now and never had any problems!

In my experience, the staff always have a really good knowledge of allergens and are always happy to help!

My Favourite: Fillet Steak with Jacket Potato and Beef Dripping Sauce and Creme Brulee

TGI Fridays

Another reliable restaurant for gluten free food is TGI Fridays.

One of the best parts about this restaurant is that we can have chips there which is something we can’t have at a lot of places, so I love visiting here!

I’ve been so many times since being Coeliac and I never suffer with symptoms of being glutened afterwards. The staff are so knowledgeable and always get a manager to serve you, so you know you’re being well looked after.

My Favourite: Cheese Burger with Fries and Toffee Popcorn Sundae

Domino’s Pizza

Some people don’t recommend Domino’s for gluten free but I’ve never had an issue with them.

I’ve never had any problems after eating takeaway Domino’s pizzas and I find the staff are always very careful when preparing my food.

It always arrives un-sliced to avoid cross contamination and tastes just as good as the normal ones.

My Favourite: Create Your Own Pizza with Gluten Free Base, Pepperoni, Bacon and Sweetcorn

So, that’s where I’ve had good experiences but just as a word of warning, I have had bad experiences with Pizza Hut takeaway, Zizzi and Piccolino, so I personally won’t be revisiting them.
