What to Do in Tenerife

I’m back from my summer holiday, which this year was a week in sunny Tenerife!

I thought it’d be interesting to share my experience of the area with you and let you know what I thought the best things to do were and where the best places to go are!

We stayed in an area called ‘Costa Adeje’, about 15 minutes from Playa De Las Americas which is a main tourist area in Tenerife.

Playa De Fanabe

From where we stayed, the beach was a 5 minute walk and there was loads of shops and restaurants along the sea front which is an area known as ‘Playa De Fanabe’.

We spent a lot of time here both enjoying the beach, visiting the shops and getting food/drink at the restaurants!

There was a good mix of market shops and chain stores, and also done good English bars/restaurants which we preferred, as well as a McDonalds!

Siam Park

I couldn’t talk about where to go in Tenerife without mentioning Siam Park, which is probably one of the most visited tourist attractions in the area.

One of the largest water parks in the world, with some of the best rides, it’s a great day out for all ages as there’s plenty of different rides, as well as plenty of space for sunbathing if rides aren’t your thing!

Siam Mall/Plaza Del Duque

No holiday is complete for me without a shopping day, and where we stayed in Tenerife, there was a couple of good shopping malls!

Siam Mall is next door to Siam Park and was walking distance from our hotel and it’s was the biggest and I’d say best shopping mall we visited. It had lots of cafes and restaurants, as well as a good variety of shops including some well known English stores like Zara, Pull & Bear, Mango and more.

Plaza Del Duque is a little further out but was still walkable from Costa Adeje, however it’s smaller and the store variety isn’t as great, but there’s a Mango and a Pandora.

We personally didn’t do any excursions but there’s so many places you can book them and we heard about so many different ones which if we’d had more time, we probably would’ve booked.

Jet Skiing is really popular out there and so are boat trips to see dolphins so if you’re into days out like that, they’re a great option in Tenerife.

Chill Out

A foreign holiday with lots of sun is made for chilling out so that is my top thing to do! The weather is generally really good in Tenerife so a pool or beach day is a great option to both relax and top up the tan!

Our hotel had a great pool and the beach nearby was nice too so as much as you can stay super busy in Tenerife, it’s also a great place to chill out!

We generally had a really relaxed week and stayed close to the hotel, but I still wanted to share our few favourite places/activities we found!

I’d love to do a post about my outfits from the holiday, so if you’d like to see that, let me know in the comments!

Let me know your favourite things to do in Tenerife if you’ve ever been!
